MY REVIEW:
It is a Western/Drama set in the harsh and brutal backdrop of the late 1800’s after the Civil War based on the 2016 book of the same name by Paulette Jiles.
The movie is Directed by Paul Greengrass who is well known for his movies ,such as Captain Philips ,the Bourne trilogy. Paul Greengrass directs this movie masterfully balancing the story while simultaneously showing the brutalities towards the Red Indians and the racism during that era. The director perfectly tells the story of each of the main characters by developing their character throughout the movie skillfully.
The movie has a great cinematography capturing the beauty of the desert .The background score of the movie which is in perfect sync with the scenes playing go perfectly with the setting of the movie .
The movie is lead by Tom Hanks who plays the captain with great skill. he is supported by the skilled young actress Helena Zengel who portrays her character with absolute great acting. The rest of the cast which appear for short interval also do great job in the movie.
It is a great movie where in the end it leaves you with a happy and satisfying feeling.
