SUMMARY/PLOT:
The movie is basically is divided into three chapters or acts each connected to the previous in some sort. The first chapter shows the prehistoric man ,the second chapter the modern space travelling man and the third one moving closer to the previous chapter and kind of continuing on it.
MY REVIEW:
It is a sci-fi/adventure made in 1968 by Stanley Kubrick with a very philosophical and mind bending story surrounding it .
The movie is directed by Stanley Kubrick .The movie is rich with his signature symmetric and hypnotic camerawork .The massive sets and the realistic looking special effects at par with the CGI of todays movies is truly remarkable .
The pace of the movie is remarkably slow ,but the beautiful camera shots ,the intense as well as soothing background score with a incredibly curious and beautiful story keep you on the end trying to figure of the meaning of everything. The movie gives an ode to all the greatest artworks in this way.
Even though the movie is quiet old ,it still competes if not wins over the modern sci-fi films .
It is a truly remarkable movie which is a must watch and a testament to how beautiful and stunning the movies from the 1960s ,1970s ,1980s and 1990s are .
